For the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for the academic year 2025–26, the Maharashtra State Government has initiated the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The registration portal enables students to apply online. The registration portal for FYJC admissions is now live starting from May 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The official registration portal is mahafyjcadmissions.in. The centralized admission system covers five key regions: Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune Pimpri-Chinchwad, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati.

Throughout the state, an estimated 20.43 lakh seats are available across 9,281 junior colleges.  Candidates are advised to follow the guidelines set by the Maharashtra Government, as the CAP is mandatory for all students seeking Class 11 admission.  Following the announcement of SSC (Class 10) results, the registration on the portal was activated. It is advised that the students read the official instructions carefully to complete the process correctly and on time.

1. Login and Accessing the Form :

  • Go to the official website and register yourself.

  • Now log in the official website using your Login ID and Password.

  • To complete the online application form, proceed step-by-step as per the on-screen instructions.

2. Search Information for Maharashtra State Board Students

    • Enter your ‘SSC Seat Number’ on the webpage.

    • On the screen, your details will appear automatically.

    • Carefully verify the information.

3. Manual Data Entry for Others

  • If the details do not enter automatically :

    • You will have to enter all the information manually, or

    • If applicable, you will have to allow the portal to fetch data via DigiLocker.

  • Use the mobile app, or, as recommended, fill out the form from home.

4. Form Verification and Submission

  • What’s next after filling out Part 1 ?

    • You will have to cross-verify details like name, mother’s name, DOB, category, and reservation.

    • Upload clear, readable documents, max 1MB per file required.

    • Submit the form and proceed to pay the application fee.

  • Before Submitting :

    • Ensure if the form is verified.

      • No further action is needed if auto-verified.

      • Get verification from your school or guidance centre If otherwise.

  • Contact the centre via the official phone numbers if the form is not verified.

5. Post-Submission Check :

  • Check your dashboard after submission:

    • The form must show “VERIFIED” status.

    • Forms which are unverified are excluded from the Part-2 process and CAP admission rounds.

6. Editing and Re-Submission

  • For your records, keep a print copy of the submitted form .

  • If any changes are needed for the form :

    • Visit any of the Guidance Centres.

    • Unlock the form after request you eill able to edit and re-submit.

FYJC 11th Admissions 2025–26: Eligibility Criteria 

  • Educational Qualification: From a recognized board, must have passed Class 10.

  • Subject Requirement: In Class 10, English must a mandatory subject. For the science stream, students must have studied math, physics, and chemistry.

  • Geographic Eligibility: It is open to students from all over the nation. For reserved quota benefits, only Maharashtra state students are eligible.

  • Merit Requirement: The admissions are based on merit; chances of selection are higher with higher marks.

Post-SSC Result Procedure: FYJC 11th 2025–26

  • Part 2 (preference/options form) will become available for submission, after the SSC results are announced.

  • There are several rounds of admission will follow :

Types of Admission Rounds

  1. Zero Round

    • Conducted before regular rounds.

    • Finalization of the general merit list.

    • Applications for Management Quota, In-house Quota, and Minority Quota accepted.

    • Quota-based admissions can take place during this round.

  2. Four Regular Rounds

    • Held for all streams.

    • Seat allotment will based on:

      • Student merit

      • Applicable reservations

      • Preferences entered in Part-2.

    • Students can update preferences before each round.

  3. Open-to-All Round (Special Round)

    • Conducted after the four regular rounds.

    • Open to:

      • Students not yet admitted

      • Students who were restricted in earlier rounds.

    • No reservations apply — pure merit-based admissions.

Bifocal Admissions

  • Admissions to bifocal subjects will managed at the individual junior college level.

  • Allotment will done based on merit.

  • These courses can also allotted after regular rounds.

Note: Centralised CAP admissions for regular streams begin from Regular Round-1. Parallelly, bifocal subject allotments may continue at the college level.

Admissions to First Year Junior College (FYJC) will conducted in accordance with the constitutional and special reservations mandated by existing regulations.

Important Notes:

  • If the junior college not operated on the same premises as its affiliated secondary school, the In-house Quota cannot claimed.

  • Management and Minority Quotas are exclusive and do not accommodate any other forms of reservation within their allocated percentages.


After Declaration of FYJC Allotment List :

A) If First Preference is Allotted

  • Confirm admission within the given timeline.

  • Submit original documents + photocopies and pay fees.

  • If admission not taken: blocked for 1 next regular round (not special rounds).

 B) If 2nd to 10th Preference Allotted

  • Can confirm admission with documents and fee.

  • If not taken, not blocked; can participate in next round.

  • Previous preferences will carry forward if not updated.

  • Admission subject to document verification by the Jr. College.

  • Get system-generated Admission Receipt after confirmation.

C) If No College Allotted

  • Eligible for the next round.

  • Can recheck cut-offs and update preferences in Part-2.

  • Process continues until Open-to-All Round.

How to Confirm FYJC Admission ?

  • Login to check allotted college after each round.

  • If satisfied, click ‘Proceed for Admission’.

  • Upload missing documents (if any).

  • College will verify uploads and confirm admission.

  • Always contact the Jr. College before visiting and follow their instructions.
